Creative Wanderlust Community Open House – July 2022 Recap: Bastille Day Collage
As always I loved gathering with friends this past month for a little Creative Wanderlust Community Open House. The theme for July was Bastille Day, as it was the 14th of July, so we collaged together in the spirit of Matisse’s wonderful cutout style and any French theme we wanted. I absolutely love the simplicity of Matisse’s cutout pieces, yet how entertaining, playful and vibrant they all are. CWC Open House – Decorate Ukrainian Style Eggs
April 2022 – Creative Wanderlust Community Open House RecapTo celebrate springtime, I hosted a wonderful, in person creative open house where we decorated eggs inspired by the rich tradition of Ukrainian/Eastern European egg designs. It was a sublime evening weather wise– almost a bit surreal that in mid-April we were having an 80 degree day, but we took advantage of this warm weather and set up outside to create. Creative Community: Art Bias Open Studios
I’m super excited to announce I have recently joined the Board of Directors at a local arts organization called Art Bias. This non-profit organization is true to my heart. Their mission is to not only provide affordable studio space for artists (in the San Francisco Bay Area this is HUGE), yet also their goals is to promote community by providing resources and opportunities for artists to grow and thrive! Creative Wanderlust Community Open House #2 – ONLINE
Join me for my next Creative Wanderlust Community Open House online on Thursday, February 3rd, from 6-7PM (PST). I refuse to have Omicron dampen the incredible energy and fun we had in December at the first CWC Open House, so in true sign of the times, I’ve decided to pivot for the month and host this gathering online! Creative Wanderlust Community: Open House #1 – Decorate a Holiday Village
I am still reveling in the first Creative Wanderlust Community Open House held the other week, and excited to share the holiday village we decorated! It was a wonderful turnout of old friends and new. I pulled out all my art supplies from watercolor pencils to brush pens; glitter glue to crayons and gave everyone the option of decorating a pre-made building/home or drawing their own. I couldn’t of been more impressed how everyone dove in and got busy creating! The colorful village came to life before our eyes. I can’t wait to kick off this new event I will be hosting every other month on the first Thursday, from 5-7:30pm – a Creative Wanderlust Community Open House!
