Palette+Place: Fireworks over Lake Tahoe
There’s nothing like a fireworks show up close and personal! I’ve been lucky to be able to watch many firework shows with an unobstructed view in beautiful Lake Tahoe, California. Lake Tahoe hosts at least 4 different firework displays, so for the past several years, the community has decided to divide up the shows between July 3rd and July 4th. The display closest to my family’s cabin just happens to always fall on July 3rd. Although it’s not actually Independence Day, I find it a great way to kick off a long weekend or holiday the next day. Below are some photos I took from this year’s show. Enjoy, and…

Good Luck!

Note: Once someone has guessed the correct answer (here in a comment, or on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram), I’ll post the answer in the comments below and add the correct location on the map. Good Luck!

Note: Once someone has guessed the correct answer (here in a comment, or on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram), I’ll post the answer in the comments below and add the correct location on the map. Good Luck!

On Location: Redwood City, California
To start my wanderlust adventures, I thought it would be fun to look at my own surroundings. A photo shoot in a neighboring town, Redwood City, proved to have lots of visual interest. With a welcoming sign and slogan – Redwood City: Climate Best by Government Test, this San Francisco suburb proves to be quite a charming town. A classic court house, art deco theatre, turn of the century hotel and other historical details are surprising for such a young city (compared to the rest of the world.) The bustling downtown and “theatre” district are alive in the day with county workers (Redwood City is the head of San Mateo…
